I actually ran this 5k in October 2018 as part of my class. My professor ran the diabetes research lab for BYU and the Sugar Rush 5k was a fundraising event for the diabetes lab.
I didn’t do a whole lot of training, but I ran a 23 minute 5k with a huge amount of hills. It was a fun and laidback race. The first mile was pretty much all uphill to the top of the baseball fields. The second mile was mostly downhill until we came to the south end of campus and we started climbing. Third mile was the steepest downhill, but also a solid uphill into the finish line.
